They also r... woops, my comment posted twice - sorry about that. actually, zizzy, I know the Egyptian people are wonderfully astute citizens of the middle east. But, the Mubarak dictatorship isn't. Arresting scholars and students and any other kind of activists for "offenses against Islam" when they are really just offenses against Mubarak strikes me as exactly the same kind of perversion of Islam that we see in Al Qaeda: Using religious authority to protect secular despotism. |
