Wait a sec.. what am I missing here? 3 separate generations? Stars are constantly dieing and new ones born. Are they saying the matter from which these stars are created from is different?

This is my bag but maybe I am reading this too early in the morning.

Deep cosmological implications ? If we find out what's going on, is the universe is going to change ? They seem upset that a fact is contradicting a theory, but still a theory proven wrong can clarify the search. So the universe is more complicated than we thought, seems like we're always going to have something new to learn. Carl Sagan made the Cosmos approachable, because he could explain it in language that was simple, then the pictures spoke for themselves, made me interested.
