In short, the establishment clause is meant to keep state and religion separate. It reads: "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof.."

The Constitution contains not one reference to a deity or to any supernatural powers. (The word "religious" appears only once, and that is to say "...no religious test shall ever be required as a qualification to any office or public trust under the United States.") [ref: see Article VI]

And every state of this Nation has also put fourth their State rights and all the states attribute the laws of the land to non other then the lord our God. Every States preamble Names the Lord god as the supreme Ruler. EVERY STATE. Which reminds me of the Tenth Amendment that all powers not Delegated to the Constitution is delegated to the states respectively and in turn They Chose to name their God Via per state. and every state's bill of rights Gives the land and the people of that respective state The Knowladge that we the People of this United states are united under one ...
