Just boil the required amount of water and pour into the pouch, stir, seal and wait the about 8 minutes. The package retained the heat well and I had to be careful not to burn my tongue. It was very cheesy, which stuck to the spoon and had more of a chili texture in appearance. The taste was not bad, kind of bland with a need to toss in some extra pepper or other spices. The pasta was very small pieces, unlike what you would expect to see in a lasagna dish.
