Don't orchids normally come from countries outside the US? Underdeveloped countries? Shouldn't there be restrictions on what comes into this country. Is there a slight chance that some of those delicate flowers could have a jungle based, known or unknown virus, or germ attached to them.

Is there a chance someone could lean down to take in the scent of the orchid and inhale a germ of some kind that would cause him or her to develop a deadly illness and not knowing, spread it all over the place where it would grow and grow like a cancer and kill off a large part of the population?
