It wasn't Dawkins that called this to the fore, it was suicide bombers!

Sane people are becoming less tolerant of the insane; that is, the religious fundamentalist. And sane people SHOULD be.

They kill, and try to teach their insanity to children so they too can be insane. It's called the Judeo-Christian-Muslim religion.

Great site. Dawkins was, as usual, very enlightening.

Yes, TED is an extraordinary site. The other day a friend sent me a TED link to something Vonnegut related. I got to surfing around TED and discovered it to be an amazing timesink of Good Stuff. Dawkins has two items there. I also watched the speech by Michael Shermer http://www.ted.com/index.php/speakers/view/id/23. A good bit. He's head of the Skeptic's Society.

TED is a great site, agreed.
Richard Dawkins is another matter. He is OK where he tackles extremism. But his take on religion is unworthy of him, he raises 'straw men' in order to knock them down, an easy and dishonest method. If a philosopher wants to attack a theory he must attack the strongest position of that theory.
