I actually own a book called "Judaism for Dummies" (LOL). I think there's a 'dummies' book for just about everything now! Good luck on your exam!

Can I learn this? What's with the Jewish headgear that looks Japanese in origin? I've always wondered that.

Take a ritual bath before writing the name of God? Uh, sure. Now if only there was something like that in Christianity we'd be hearing a lot less of their blather..

In order to know the truth read the Jewish history; you will find that the real original Torah has been lost and now there are 2 two deferent V. of what thy so call "Torah"

Alanocu, this clip brings back fond memories! When I was a freshman at Indiana University long ago a wise friend recommended that I take a very popular course taught by Prof. James Ackerman: "The Religion of Ancient Israel". It was a very interesting and informative course, but was also very demanding. For me it was harder than the chemistry and other science courses I was taking along with it, and it was also the only course in which I earned less than an A that year. (Writing papers is not my strong suit.)

I wish that I could remember more of what I learned in that class, but I've slept several times since then. I really enjoy learning about the historical aspects of the Bible,...
