They deemed the myth plausible since their landings were a success, but there was no record of this ever happening.

Now these guys had some flight training, and they weren't attempting anything as hard as landing. Now, I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say that if Jamie and Adam (especially Adam) can be talked through successful landings with no training at all, then someone with some training and lots of planning might just be able to hit a building.
