Why? Because when you tie morality to wealth the rich become noble and the poor despicable. Nonsense! Just another liberal spin. No one hates the poor except maybe the liberals since they strive to keep the poor dependent on the government to maintain themselves in power. More dependents, more votes. If they really "loved" the poor, they would pass legislature to get these poor people off of welfare, not make efforts to get them addicted to it. Jay8h: Blah, blah, blah, markets good, blah, government bad, blah, blah, dangers of communism, blah, blah, bootstraps, blah. *YAWN* That Ayn Rand routine is what got us to this point in the econopocalypse. The orgy of deregulation we had, the attitude of [i]Let the Enrons, Worldcoms, Tycos, and other corporate behemoths off the regulatory leash & prosperity will blossom[/i... And if you really read Ayn Rand, it is also anti-capitalist. The idea that a few elites have all the intellectual power and the "masses" would be lost without them is absurd. Imagine of all the engineers in Boeing quit one day, what would the company do? Hire a bunch of kids from every university around the world and give them jobs. Kids with huge loans won't say no. |
