Nano-tech opens whole new worlds of potential issues equal in number and complexity to any micro or macro tech we now employ. The thing to be concerned about is the rate at which these issues will come to bear on the public experience.

Animals are protected from them by sentient firewalls called : immune systems. A multimillion years old ecosystemic dialogue between antibodies & antigens have created some (very fragile) equilibrium state. Any breach in that state means destruction of whole populations - as southern amerindians during spanish invasion.

Oh by the way, haven't Bill Gates invested huge amounts of money in vaccine bizness ? Yeah, for the good sake of humanity ... mmm ... what a benevolent soul ! ...
