I love the simplicity of this. I've been thinking of designing my own plates for my kitchen wall, but I really like that the information is actually imprinted into the clay.

I saw an infomercial that had templates to design your own stencils that you can use to create greeting cards.

Also, there's another technique that uses an etching material to put designs on dishware, glasses, etc.

It looked fairly easy to do.
