Fantastic! Thanks for the clip! Thanks great clip: Recently I visited a small town outside Cape Town called Hermanus. The town thrives during the holiday season and is well known for its whale watching. The reason for the visit was because a colleague is conducting a sustainable waste management lecture and needed some working examples of good recycling initiatives. She came across the Swop-Shop. This initiative encourages children from the informal settlement to recycle by rewarding them points, which at the end of the day they can trade-in for items of basic needs, toiletries, clothes and such. I find this to be a very good strategy, as it teaches the young their responsibility of keeping there environment clean as w... Fantastic and creative ideas! We have a local children's playground and all the swings and climbing apparatus are made of used tires - trucks, tractor tires and all! My grandchildren love it! I love the bicycle That's my house!! You know, houses can be built out of used tires- if you do the work yourself you can have a very nice residence (that no one will know is made of tires) for less than 15 grand! I'm a little worried too Hope all is ok with you Aribeth, you really are missed. me too -) sending regards .. The Environmental Graffiti is a very cool site. Thanks for the link. |
