I don't think quakes are very common in Antarctica are they?
Is this a prelude to other quakes as the plates shift from the weight transfer of ice melt?

Good question Skwirl. Probably is. Maybe even why there's been so much activity along the Pacific. Shifting has to give and take to accommodate, I would think.
