The group MoveOn.org seems to be doing good work to end the war in Iraq. They took out a full page ad in the New York Times, today, for example calling General Petraeus by the name: General Betray Us.

This was today, on the first day of Petraeus' report in front of Congress.

So...we can join groups. There are also several groups working for impeachment. I'm part of one.

But the problem is ads don't work by themselves; just an expression of 'sympathy' or opinion is easily ignored.

Impeachment is difficult, too, because the people have to influence someone else to make this a reality and the politicans we have to influence seem dead set against the idea.

The only real solution is to elect...

The only real solution is to elect better leaders. I know that perhaps people may be bored with this consistent message of mine (among other consistent messages), but that is the final fact: Got it from a Hopi elders and holy man, actually; so I keep saying it.

Plus (other consistent messages): don't despair, the majority of people DO care and want us out of this war; realize that and work with that and them.

Plus, we can work on recalling leaders we don't like (in the states where it is possible). Or we can just start recalling politicans to upset and challenge the status quo.

Politics is a tough boxing match.
