Well, what a surprise. Music is powerful and influential. Does it make you weep? Make you proud? Make you happy? If a song is energizing, does it make you drive faster? I think the answer is 'yes'. So why would it not also make people angry and violent? Just asking.....

I pretty much listen to anything, except RAP (noise). I did listen at one time when Hammer rapped, but anything after him was 99.9% about violence, death, and killing. So yes - there is probably a correlation.

Since when were cops interested in things that demean women?

You all need to do the research into why rap was introduced as music into the world, you have got to look into why violence was even placed into this music and what it represents. As you all know music in sense is an art. Although this does not appeal to all, nether does classic.
It's not the genre as such it's the artists. These people are showing the world what is going on in our own countries.

This violence and gang warfare is not controlled or completely influenced by the music created. The music is created because of the violence and gangs, it has just become popular. It is where poverty is so low but the people still live in a rich country, ( for them what else is there to do). They make money selling drugs, they steal, they will protect and invade other gang territories. Does any of this sound familiar, It's like the whole world on a tiny scale.
People form groups when they feel unequally challenged.
