A clip last year set out the advantages of leaving the umbilical cord attached and pumping for a couple of minutes. It may have only been 30 secs.
More power to the midwife. Make the doctor the assistant. Most would be too arrogant to play that role.

The reason they are in such a hurry is they want the stem cells. They have dollar signs in their eyes. At the expense of poor little babies just coming in to the world.
