Very interesting - makes sense though. I've found myself exhausted after dealing with one of my wife's friends who has a super hyperactive conversation style...and no, she's not from a racial minority. Works out the same though - I have to control my behavior around her and that sucks up a tremendous amount of energy when I have to deal with her for extended periods of time.
