AtlLiberal says: Another moral coward who is afraid to state unequivocally that he believes in creationism over evolution. He tap dances of 5 minutes and says nothing. What a fraud. Watching this made me want to throw things at the TV. Are you surprised? Cause I'm not. And I might add, Matthews adds no substance to the conversation either. His lack of insight about basic science is not a great surprise considering the level of general knowledge about science. It cannont be stressed enough, among scientists, there is no controversy. The whole controversy issue is a fabrication from the Discovery Institute to open a crack to drive their wedge into. Totally a straw man argument. Yet the majority of Americans are too ignorant to see this. I suppose we can be thankful that even if Matthews lacks the background to engage in intelligent discussion on this topic at least he's not part of the anti-science movement that the Republicans appear to have adopted many years ago and refuse to release. The right-wing (i.e., Republican, conservative religious reich, etc) war on science is a lot more real than the "War on Christmas". |
