vk2yoc says: I just love Quantum Mechanics, it's so,....."Alice in Wonderland". The quantum entered physics with a jolt. It didn’t fit anywhere; it made no sense; it contradicted everything we thought we knew about nature. Yet the data seemed to demand it. ... The story of Werner Heisenberg and his science is the story of the desperate failures and ultimate triumphs of the small band of brilliant physicists who—during an incredibly intense period of struggle with the data, the theories, and each other during the 1920s—brought about a revolutionary new understanding of the atomic world known as quantum mechanics. David C Cassidy. I just love Quantum Mechanics, it's so,....."Alice in Wonderland".My sentiments, EXACTLY! This is absolutely fascinating vk2yoc. I've just entered the nursing program here, and in order to apply I had to upgrade my math (as I didn't understand it at all in high school). This of course was algebra, and even though I've never been great at math, I was amazed at the way you manipulated, etc. to come up with the answer. The idea that you can use math to explain everything/anything kind of blows my mind. Thanks for clipping this! |
