jatfla says: And whose side, exactly, is he on??? Undermine and put at risk those who are there by lack of support and back-up or go all out and get the job done. Which has, traditionally, been the American way? Every day that the so-called CIC delays, the more imperiled our loved ones become. Eikenberry's politics are clouding his military judgment - same for Colin Powell. Instead of looking at matters strategically, both let politics sway their judgment. I may have misjudged Powell, I had always thought fairly highly of him, even after he endorsed Obama last year. Now after his remarks about troops levels in Afghanistan, he sounds more like a far left politician instead of a leader of men in combat. I have no hope for Obama, he is a loser, incapable of making a correct or timely decision. We would be better off simply flipping a coin to decide our military strategy, at least we would get it right a few times and without waiting months to do it. I'm surprised Obama hasn't pu... I read this morning that Obama has rejected all options presented to him. So, now what? Nice Veteran's Day gift for those fighting over there. s/off It proves he's a lair and incompetent. He tried to look presidential several months back when he made a his strategy and picked his general to lead the Afghan war. However when his general asked for more men, now he wants a do-over on his strategy and assessment of the Afghan war. He is equally as dopey as he is indecisive. I have a lot of respect for the generals and would hope they would submit their resignations before they would compromise their position on the war - like Gates did, what a disappointment. The last place we need play political games is on the battlefield when our troops lives are literally on the line. Like Beck said - re-enforce the troops like your hand picked general is asking or pull out completely. But our incompetent president is a fence sitter, real dangerous for our troops and country. |
