I have to admit that I did fall for this one. It was just one of those things that I had heard and simply accepted several years ago (pre-internet). It really comes home to me how so many things can be accepted by people simply because it sounds plausable. Now I'm in the habbit of doing Snopes searches, or Googling when I hear strange things like this. The internet has really changed my level of gullibility towards urban myths.

I remember how odd it was the first time I saw an advertisement listing a web address for further information. I had to explain what it was to several of my friends.

I first got on the internet 12 years ago. 6 months after getting my first dial up account I received an email from a woman that thought the webpage I had created for my mother's sewing business was pretty cool looking. I married her a year later.
