This is an important article. I believe that psychedelic drugs not only have highly valuable therapeutic properties, but they can serve when responsibly used, to expand one's consciousness and boost intelligence and creativity in many aspects of life. The use of psychedelic drugs is one of those case where something which is highly beneficial to the individual is arbitrarily banned by the 'system' because the system do not want us too conscious, or too creative, not even too intelligence. All these threat the stability of the system while promoting independent thought.
It is worth mentioning that the family of psychedelic drugs DO NOT contain dangerous addicting drugs such as opium, heroin, cocaine, crack, meth, etc.

Thanks for the warning... I said responsible use. You could freak out and die from being anxious for 10 years with no respite.

This is one danger of modern life, what we need to shield ourself from. Straight path to social disadaptation, demencia. User of psychodelic drugs cannot judge his own strange behavior, which impossible to mask completely by sporadic achievements.

Even the co-founder of AA was a fan of LSD Bill Wilson participated in studies of the use of LSD in treating alcoholism...and as far as I understand it, the rates of 'recovery' were very good!

marijuana is also medicinally very very useful
as well as being the least dangerous drug out there
overdose on tylenol, you end up in the hospital getting your stomach pumped.
overdose on weed, you end up laughing, eating, and falling asleep.
it saves the lives of people going through radiation... the nausea from radiation causes the patient to become nauseated and never hungry... the reason why they often lose so much weight. without nutrients, the patients immune system will become even more damaged, and could ultimately allow the cancer to win. marijuana GREATLY helps the radiation patient eat, keeping nutrients in the body and could be the difference between life and death.
my eating ...

agree with this article too. mushrooms are a natural growing fungi that was meant to be put on this earth, and it needn't be manipulated (like poppy seeds with opium and heroin) to be enjoyed (same with green!!). i don't understand how one can outlaw the consumption of something that is grown naturally and isn't deadly.

Well now blobfish, the most obvious reason that springs readily to mind is to protect the booze profits.

Plus the so-call;ed war on drugs has become an industry in itself, and in turn that helps protect the huge profits of the drug lords/cartels.

Use of drugs for any medical condition whether it is mental or physical should be monitored by an appropriate doctor. Mushrooms and weed grown naturally should be enjoyed but as with anything else, used in moderation. Over indulgence merely creates a new problem.

i'd say my first psilocybe experience was life changing, for sure. later ones were to lesser extents, the same with LSD.

so many people think hallucinogens cause (aka force) a change in character, personality, whatever, but i've never found this to be the case. it provides me with a change in perspective while tripping, and later, _upon reflection_, i can gauge how valid those thoughts were, and choose how to use certain insights (or not). then again, some people are pretty irresponsible with their use. but the same goes with over-eaters, smokers, people who drive fast cars, those engaging in copious amounts of unsafe sex, on and on and on.

It is so easy to miss your own point of no return. There is so many much more important things our life to be sacrificed...
