Because these women already belong to a women's rights group they have probably established an intolerance to abuse. For other women to use this method would probably result in personal injury and even death. That's just what I was thinking, re: your comment. Re: Lysistrata - it's a funny made-up old Greek comedy. It might be better to offer the men sex if they desert. Of course, they might lie and promise the moon. um...and some woman might not account for all their bed partners, or become sellouts. At least the idea has raised attention, maybe even raised hopes -- if not much else. But the woman might want to dress in porcupine quills and carry AK-47's...although this might not lead to the promotion of peace. |
