I'd switch providers. If there were no alternative, I'd be supremely pissed. If I pay for high speed internet, you better well not F*#% with my traffic. I mean, what difference does it make if I'm watching streaming video at 500kbs or downloading a torrent at 500kbs? How do you know if my torrent is legal or not? You don't... Pricks. Yeah, but its part of a trend, a strange melding of goverment, telecoms and military interest. What I call the Military-Information Complex. Awesome, happy i live in canada... :| Well Cat you got yourselves a conservative PM, how far does he wants this for your country. Bad ideas spread like viruses. I found this part amusing to say the least. Hammer time: Shaw storms in the company's office. BAM! She whacks the keyboard of the customer service rep. BAM! Down goes the monitor. BAM! She totals the telephone. People scatter, scream, cops show up and what does she do? POW! A parting shot to the phone! The freedom of the internet is dying. Filters, censoring, government reading e-mails and tracking activists is just a small part of the slow destruction of the good parts of the internet. They would like it to be a place of commerce rather then free exchange of thoughts, ideas, technology etc. If true, I would loose Comcast in a heartbeat but they are not my ISP. |
