I don't get it, what's the point in cloning your pet, when they've already said the pet's going to be different from the original based on the random timing of genes splitting, and external factors.

Don't get me wrong, I've 3 cats, and I wouldn't want to lose them, and I can understand why you might want to hold on to your pet, but they're not going to be the same animal, and won't have those quirks the original had that made them what they are.

With so many pets dying on the streets and in shelters, why not rescue a worthy dog or cat and bring it into your life?

I agree with you ratilfar. Mind you there are some people who have more money than they know what to do with so they go in for things like cloning their pets just because they can.
