Ron Paul so far has impressed me. Unfortunately I wonder if he has a chance at all. Public opinion may have swung way away from republicans for the moment so even if he did manage to win the republican nomination he might not have much chance. On the other hand, the failure of the recently elected democrats to halt the war and make changes that they campaigned on just might swing it back for him if people can look past their recent anger at the republican party and take an honest look at the nominees.

I've always considered myself open minded about electing officials that have the skills to do the job and not going brain dead over party politic voting - however even I have a flinch reaction...

Breaking their power hold was a major victory, IMO, and to give it right back to them worries me.

Bush has really scarred this nation. I really hate this man for making me second guess my thoughts on voting for someone based on their party affiliation.
