B Rosen says:
This relates a study of the thickness of the ice in antarctica and shows some evidence that the mass of ice is actually growing, and the small amount of melting that has occurred is due to natural current flows, not global warming theory,

I shall try to contain my excitement until 2009 when Dr. Wingham will be able to continue his debunking.

Perhaps next he will be able to debunk the ongoing myth that the planet is spherical shaped.

I believe the idea that the Earth was round was held by the minority and wasn't a 'consensus' opinion pushed by big governments.

This is thought to be because increased melting is balanced by more snow.
In some areas where change might be expected, however, nothing much seems to be happening. Antarctic sea ice, for instance, does not seem to be shrinking, probably because increased melting is balanced by more snow.

Be careful not to misinterpret the report as if global warming wasn't happening over the world.

Second comment from top says to the rest of you : "I am right strictly because you are an idiot and I will not consider anything but what I want to. I look down my nose at you."

Rosen you gullible fellow (or gal): do you actually question global warming? I'll bet that even the ever unbelievably incompetent president is even fully aware of global warming - he just doesn't want to do anything substantial about it that could cost his industrial buddies a few bucks (just like his inaction toward the Mississippi levies he knew well about before that disaster, his inaction toward other environmental crises, his administrations knowledge of parts of the 911 scheme, his lie about supporting this nations public education, and his lie about the whole basis he presented to all of us (and the US Congress) for the attack on Iraq - just to name a few of the big ones). Unless y...

This clip makes me feel so much better than I'm going to go smoke a cigarette, since they don't cause cancer. Maybe I'll drink a shot of DDT after that, since it's completely harmless.

i love these naive replies...especially hrbarnett that managed to go on a rant of the bush administration instead of really focusing on the clip. i'll mention, as i always do, again that global warming is a theory. its not a proven fact, and if you really research into the topic you'll find a lot of information that leans towards global warming theory being debunked. i believe that the warming and cooling of the planet is natural, not caused by humans, and it is not endangering our planet. If you check out my other clips on Global Warming Theory you can see some very interesting facts to which you may have been unaware.

Global warming isn't so literal. Something melting or warming up cools the area around it. That's why when ice melts in your soda, the soda doesn't get hot, it gets cold. When something freezes, the air around it warms up, which is why right before a snowfall temperatures shoot up a couple of degrees.

Global warming can cause ice ages and cold snaps. It messes with the entire climate system overall.

It actually was a consensus opinion that the earth was flat, although not at the time of Columbus. That is why I refer to the global warming fear-mongers flat-earthers, because they deny actual scientific evidence and shout their rhetoric instead. There is a clear wave of sophistication emerging on this subject. It is good to see.
Funny thing, global warming seems to be happening on most planets in the Solar System.
