Christian fundamentalists are just as dangerous as Muslim fundamentalists. Religions are dangerous when they get involved with worldly power. All the great religions teach us to embrace our human powerlessness. They are not merely as dangerous as Muslim fundamentalists. Look at the evidence. Despite our wealth and power, we are an intellectual backwater. They are why. Their aim is to expunge every intelligent person on the continent. What frightens me more than anything is that ideas like the Dominionists' seem to gaining power. |
