AtlLiberal says:
At times I feel fortunate that I live in a large metropolitan setting. But the veneer of intelligence is running mighty thin these days. Increasingly, the wink-wink politics of yesterday is once again raising its bigoted head around the south.

As far as the Republican policy of late of pandering to the white male vote, I hope they keep at it. The deeper the hole they dig for themselves, the longer it will be before they gain power and start dismantling the gains the Dems have instituted. Yet, it is nauseating to watch.

Sarah Palin's role is to convince Americans that dumb is wholesome, and that we can abandon our worries, yielding our troubled thoughts to simple folk wisdom.

Ah yes! Thinking from the gut. We saw where that got us after 8 years! But the anti-intellectualism is disturbing. It used to be cool to be smart. Or at least strive to be!

Let's see, what would you porpose it would take for the Republicans to make "gains among non-white minorities, especially Hispanics."

More handouts?
More welfare?
More wealth distribution like in Mexico?
More "free" medical care?
More government control and takeover?
More abortions?
More dumbing down the education system?
More open borders to let in more illegals?
More risky house loans?
More quotes from the Huffington Posts?

Should I go on?

What would be the use, Jay? By your comments it's regrettably evident that you have your mind made up and it pretty much parrots the Ultra-Right Wingnut segment of the political debate. I foolishly thought that you were open to debate but it seems that you are of a more confrontational mind and feel more at home lashing out with bumper sticker unproven assertions geared to cause a backlash. And don't you see the irony of your political views versus your religious views? It doesn't seem like you've given that much thought. You come off as a very unfocused, angry person Jay.

If you care to discuss these issues how about stating your position and giving your s...

Thus proving the subject of this clip to be true, as far as he is concerned.

Now, AtlLiberal, be honest. Is that not the left wing agenda? This is what the left is proposing, are they not?
We could take them one at a time, but there is not enough room on this site. As far as my biblical convictions, you might consider what the Bible says:

2Th 3:10 For even when we were with you, we commanded you this: If anyone will not work, neither shall he eat.

LOL! Project much? Jay, you seem perfectly comfortable in making unfounded assertions direct from Ultra-Right talking points but are too cowardly to back them up. Why is that?

And quoting your bible verses (as a true cafeteria christian) you are not providing any proof at all. Except that you are tethered to dogma and unable to think for yourself.

If you can't engage in meaningful dialog I'd suggest you take your bile elsewhere. Your choice.

I still think there are many more disaffected republicans than defecting dems. The republican party has pretty much lost all its moderates (regardless of religious persuasion).

AtlLiberal, do me a favor and eliminate my ability to comment on your clips, because I'm gonna roast your damn ass, I don't wanna do it again.

Eff You.

People who make fun of Americans sure see to enjoy the technology that we create. So lets do a review, and by all means folks, stop using our damn technology:

Clipmarks.com, The Internet, synthetic rubber, electric light, mapping the human genome, man on the moon, phonograph, mimeograph, VACCINES (ya'll don't need those do ya?), the TV, the laser, VCR, nylon, the computer, the supercomputer, windows, macs, alkaline storage battery...how are we doing so far folks? jazz, blues, country, rap and rock n roll wuz birthed here but we be stoopid ...

OK guys, be nice. We don't need to get nasty. Maybe I can pose a question to AtlLiberal. Which one of the things I mentioned that you disagree that the liberals want?
I went through the list several times and I cannot eliminate any of them. Maybe you can? (with an explanation, of course)

Sorry you do not like my bible quotes, but it has a lot more authority to say what it does than I have.

By the way, I do think for myself. That is why I get in so much trouble on this web site.

More handouts?
What do you mean by handouts? Are you referring to what has been termed "corporate welfare". Are you referring to off-shore tax deferments? Are you referring to the present government stimulous plan? Are you referring to tax breaks for the wealthy.

Or are you referring to indigent care? Are you referring to low income housing? Are you referring to school lunch programs? Are you referring to assistance for seniors such as medicare or social security.

You see Jay. Your list is too vague and is meant not to spark productive dialog but simply to inflame with conservati...

Not very capable ogres.
"because I'm gonna roast your damn ass" tells a lot about the person using this meaningless string of words. But that has already been said in the headline.
CoT is not very good at being abusive. A nice person at heart, just can't seem to understand.
Half a kilo of sausages and they'd be right for a barbecue.

I missed this bit of drivel earlier. I feel no compunction to respond to his comments. I'll just let his own words speak for themselves.

AtLliberal, I will try to address some of your questions:

More handouts? Giving handouts to anyone who refuses to work.

More welfare? Trillions have been spent on this hand out and all we have is more poverty. Take a look at New Orleans next time you are down south. Look at the Ghettos and see how well welfare has helped them.

More wealth distribution like in Mexico? The rich and powerful own Mexico and the government has been bought and paid for. The unions and special interest groups are paying for this country.

More "free" medical care? Who is going to pay for the uninsured we are trying to cover? If they are too poor to pay it now, how are they going to pay it if this program i...

I don't believe this is how the system is supposed to work.
More welfare? Trillions have been spent on this hand out and all we have is more poverty.
So you suggest we cut back on funds to the poor? And I don't know the amounts that are spent in excess. Trillions seems like an attempt to justify your anger.
The unions and special interest groups are paying for this country.
I partly agree with you here. Although I think you look at this in too much of a black/white way. And I noticed you are point blank anti-union as though they are the embodiment of evil. This view is not realist...

You can't tell me Obama and his administration is going to do something to deport illegals
Deport millions of people? And aren't you forgetting the businesses that depend on low price workers. I don't buy into the ethnocentrism of Dobbs.
More risky house loans? I hope you know that this catastrophe that has
probably caused a world wide recession was initiated by the Clinton
administration and Barney Frank in particular.
Right! The greedy barely legal mortgage brokers had nothing to do with it!
They ordered the loan companies to make these bad loans
Or rather you Republican congress passed legislation that allowed predatory lending practices to exist in the first place.
