merrie says: . . . . .McCain who had voted against tightening its lending practices. Then you will print them, even though every one of those true stories will point the finger of blame at the reckless Democratic Party, which put our nation's prosperity at risk so they could feel good about helping the poor, and lay a fair share of the blame at Obama's door. You will also tell the truth about John McCain: that he tried, as a Senator, to do what it took to prevent this crisis. You will tell the truth about President Bush: that his administration tried more than once to get Congress to regulate lending in a responsible way. This was a Congress-caused crisis, beginning during the Clinton administration, with Democrats leading the way into the crisis and blocking every effort to get out of it in a timely fashion. There's much more at the link. http://www.ldsmag.com/ideas/081017light.html Orson Scott Card, by the way, is a Democrat. demogogery is not exclusive to obama, now is it. Hardly deb2012, the press has shown a total lack in impartiality! From NBC to CBS to CNN they are all equally in the tank for obama. For every article showing obama as a wonderful upstanding person; there are 5 articles disparaging McCain. If I accept your point as fact, how does that affect my point? There are plenty of resources today for the Obama haters online and on tv(fox) and and out of McCain and Palin's mouth if you want to focus on negatives. You are more well represented than ever before. McCain has a huge resevoir in his own words (on youtube) of policy positions, beliefs, values, etc. There is "impartiality" to be found in his own words. We have his record. That's what I pay attention to. I can't help the sheeple who really just want bloodsport. One day, we'll all grow tired of that game too. |
