laceym says: One does not have to be a fundamentalist to put a Jesus fish on one's car. Some of those who do so are certainly fundamentalists, but many more would better be described as moderate Christians. And yet, they share at least something with the fundamentalists - some degree of pride in their faith (i.e., their belief of something without evidence). It is not enough for these individuals to believe; they want others to know about it. It is in our lives and not our words that our religion must be read - Thomas Jefferson I have Thomas Jefferson on the top of my list of people (living or dead) to invite to dinner. I love this guy's blog, so I'm really stoked to find a clip of it here! As a Christian, I hate to see these things. Many of my fellow Christians think that the opposite of Christianity is natural selection, or cosmology, or other sciences. This is not the case. You don't have to forsake science in order to be a Christian. Heck, in the Bible, God called us to experience and attempt to understand the world. I'm sick of this petty argument. Natural selection does not contradict the Bible, and the Bible does not contradict natural selection. Is everyone happy? you're educated = i'm happy It's almost like saying, "I can shout louder than you, so I win". (I always thought the shark one was really funny) If you look at it like a vein diagram and set theory, then there is the big "Truth" set, and a smaller "Darwin" set... and this magnet shows that the Darwin set is partly entailed by the Truth set => perhaps the driver just wants to emphasize that Darwin theory has a significant overlap with what the truth would be Yes! I agree with mortimerpa. The driver probably just want to emphasize their acceptance of Darwinism into the whole of their truth set...fish. LOL |
