This is the saddest and most enraging article I have read recently. These poor guys were doing their job and go to jail for 11 and 12 years for wounding...yes wounding...a drug smuggler. What the hell is going on here really? Turns out some of these agents and prosecutors are good friends with...guess who...President Bush.

Been following this issue for a while now. It is an absolute travisty that two border patrol agents doing their jobs get 12 years. My god they shot a drug smuggler in the butt, how AWFUL!

The message this sends to our current border patrol agents is one of the follow:

1. When encourntering a drug smugger either allow him to kill you, detain him and go to jail for 12 years, or let him continue supplying drugs to children.

or

2. Kill every possibly dangerous illegal you encounter so there are no witnesses.
