Many more people are poor and sick because of the life of Mother Teresa: Even more will be poor and sick if her example is followed. She was a fanatic, a fundamentalist, and a fraud, and a church that officially protects those who violate the innocent has given us another clear sign of where it truly stands on moral and ethical questions. Those who have, have been oppressing those who have not since the beginning of time. Jesus said we will always have the poor with us. I am not opposed to giving a leg up but I am surely opposed to the philosophy that states a soul is worthless and they will always be worthless and certain sectors of our society are less able and thusly we must give them special treatment because after all they are disenfranchised from the norm.

Now the last time I read our Constitution it said ALL MEN WERE CREATED EQUAL. In fact the last time I read the bible it said basically the same thing. ALL men and women and minorities are created equal. They are endowed by the Creator with certain rights.

We all have been made in God's image and God does not make junk to quote a teeshirt I saw once. Because God does not make junk than we all have the ability to rise to greatness. THAT does not mean gain monetary wealth but it does mean we can live a noble and fulfilled life.

All this talk about poverty in this country is laughable by those who live in real dire poverty. Someone making $10,000 in this country is NOT POOR by the world's standards. They are far richer then a large portion of the world's population.

Money is relative the more you make the more you spend and God knows we sure have lots of things we spend money on and most of it could be eliminated from our lives and we would survive just nicely.

Now before anyone shouts me down I want you to know I have lived on less than $10,000 a yr and lived quite well actually. I did not receive government assistance nor did I seek it. I simply believed that God would provide for all my needs according to HIS riches in glory through Christ Jesus. AND HE DID.

Now if you do not believe that then you are poor no matter how much money you have or do not have IMO.
