Perhaps some headway is being made. The religion free funeral along with many other public celebrations and commemorations is a positive event. There is absolutely no reason to call on supernatural powers to mark a milestone. It's time we outgrew the infancy of our development as a species and entered the age of reason and reality.

I hope you're right but history has shown it's a particularly virulent meme. As with any infection, one needs to continue taking the medication even when improvement in health is shown. Otherwise, reinfection could occur.
