After all, initiating your children into the ritual of popping to the pub for a drink and a packet of crisps is a lovely way to carry on the pub-going tradition.

I totally disagree! Go to a café instead! There are many things in this world that are restricted to adults. Drinking, driving, sex, etc. Should we maybe let kids get behind the wheel of a car, because it's the perfect way to introduce them to road safety? Or drag them to strip joints to educate them in finer points of the human anatomy? I think not. Keep kids out of pubs and let us have our beer in peace! Is nothing sacred anymore?

I'd like to suggest we also ban... Australians, because they can get pretty trolleyed and start calling everyone "mate".

I definatley disagree with taking kids to pubs and to places where a large quantity of alcohol is consumed, as kids then see it as normal to get drunk when they see adults do that and do not adopt a healthy attitude to alcohol. It has been proved that the less alcohol kids see their parents drink the less they consume when they become adults.
As for the comments about Aussies!!! That is an insult to Aussies which is completely unnecessary!!!
