Sorry about the "sketchy" clipping (it does look suspect of liberal editing ), but I had to filter out phrases such as "on the other hand" in order to make the cip fit. Check the page out for yourself if you're interested in the correlation between creativity & psychosis. It presents the most in-depth analysis I have yet seen.

Psychosis, and genius can be reflections in the same mirror. The contention is that genius reflects a reality that is yet to be seen, a psychosis reflects a reality that does not exist. This can often be subject to opinion or beyond our capacity to judge. One big difference would be the way this is interpreted by someone with LI. I can imagine a genius developing a new concept that alters our view of reality would be seen as psychotic by someone with no imagination. Everything changes.
