　患者家族の立場で参加した難病のこども支援全国ネットワークの小林信秋専務理事は、「治療中の子の介護をしている親や訪問看護、訪問リハビリテーションのスタッフにも優先的に接種して欲しい。ワクチンを接種しない方がいい治療の種類などについての情報も提供してもらいたい」と述べた。

　意見交換会では、患者の多い１０代の若者の扱いで意見が分かれた。乳幼児より重症化リスクが低い若者は優先しなくていいという意見があった一方、東京病院の永井英明外来診療部長は「都内の入院患者の多くは１０代。病院をパンクさせないという意味でも１０代の若者にも接種すべきでは」と指摘した。

　予防接種は、政府が強く推奨し公費負担がある「定期接種」と、「定期」より推奨の程度が低く、全額自己負担の「任意接種」がある。定期接種の対象は麻疹や風疹などの流行防止が主な目的だ。

　インフルワクチンは重症化は防げるが、ワクチンを接種しても２割ほどは感染してしまうので完全に感染拡大を防止できるわけではない。厚労省の上田博三健康局長は、意見交換会で、感染拡大が防止できないなら、公費負担の対象にはできないという立場から、「基本的には任意接種になる」との方針を示した。
