It's truly wonderful to see a politician live up to his promises, to see a politician who has morality and integrity and his election in a landslide victory was one of the best and most dramatic change of direction in U.S. history.

When one political leader holds people in indefinite detention and approves the use of torture...and then another person comes along and stops both these policies and begins to clean up the mess and release innocent people...

When one political leader holds people in indefinite detention and approves the use of torture...and then another person comes along and stops both these policies and begins to clean up the mess and release innocent people from false imprisonment....well, the change and improvement should be not only obvious, but applauded (unless, or course, you're a warmongering fascist).

Only because the political debates and battles go on and on....like I've never seen before...and this improvement and change is resisted and challenged everyday with hate and lies....I'd suggest that some people might want to decide who's side they are on....what team do they want to see win? Do you want to return to Bush era policies?

Politics is not utopia. We're lucky if, in fact, we can make a clear vote for BETTER, much less hope for the best.

We now have better.

Politics too, like the expression about Rome: "Rome wasn't built in a day."

That's 17 men returned to freedom. That's 17 steps towards a return to real justice.
