In addition the bad vibes Google has been getting lately, this post states that Yahoo and Microsoft may just be out-developing them too. It's amazing how fast the perception of Google is changing.

absolutely -- i really noticed when i was recommending gmail over aol/yahoo in the last month and multiple non-techies said "But don't they watch everything I do" etc...

i think that the people writing about this are consumers...and i also think they hold a lot of influence over other consumers. it's a domino affect, and the question is whether some lead dominos are beginning to fall against google.

P.S. I still think Google is a good company run by good people, that Web 3.0 will be powered by a Google network, and that everything i buy on the web will be taken out of my GoogleWallet.

i wish i could give you an answer you'll like more than this, but some things they do i like and some things they do i don't.

poet- i think that is a hard question-- are u asking if u like the philosophy/concept of GOOG or the product they have produced, extraordinary search obviously being their cornerstone--- there are several companies i admire the behavior of but their product is worthless and quite the opposite--- for example, hard not to admire what XOM accomplished last week during their earnings announcement- but hard to think i'm a fan of that organization and their track record-
