'Necessity is the mother of invention' which suggests that when people have no choice they have a remarkable ability to come up with alternatives that work as well if not better. On a larger scale it doesn't always work. If people lose power they find alternatives. Life can be much more difficult, but a lack of basic services can be countered at the local or community level where fuel alternatives and trade can develop without waiting for the promised technological advances which are supposed to b...

Of course it's not that simple, but apart from waste one of the primary drains on utilities is industry. If there is a power water or fuel shortage, Industry can grind to a standstill. It isn't as easy to redesign a manufacturing process, particularly when a primary proportion of the investment is in plant.
Who wants to drink powdered Cola? Or corn moonshine?
If an alternative for fossil fuel was released in the next few years, some of the U.S.'s most wealthy citizens will have a stockpile they can't move, which is at the moment worth a fortune. There will be NO practical alternatives introduced by the the state, until the current oil stockpiles are moved, and countries that use oil as a trade base are drained, at preferably exorbitant prices.
There are alternatives there. Many have to be adopted at a personal level, perhaps developed by individuals. There are still people who are willing to contribute for the common good, without the focus on a profit.
The internet may be a means of co-ordinating, which could not have been imagined a few years ago. I can't see how the internet would have been included in the strategy designed by the NWO, but I have no doubt it's left them on the back foot.
It's easier to control the weather than the internet
