But when you go to work and you're at the office and someone else is paying you (your employer for example), you better not publicly refer to the client (or even the client's constituent) as a nappy headed whore! Because now you've cost the employer with your indescretion.

The employer has every right, and rightfully so, to make sure that her customers fully understand that those comments DO NOT reflect the employer viewpoints or values. There's one sure way to do that...

And Imus should have known that. It's that simple.
