It seems to me that if Great Britain, Italy, France, Germany, etc. can do it, we should be able to do it better. Of course, they are not (unlike in their past) using all their GDP indulging in serial warfare with world domination on their minds (as we have been doing since the 1950's). There are other differences, as well. They generally do not worship their rich and have no difficulty in taxing those who have profited so well from their countrymen, they don't allow corporations (even international) to penalize or even discourage their citizens from forming or joining a union, most have media standards and insist on having both Factual and Pertinent information regarding their national econo...

There are other differences, as well. They generally do not worship their rich and have no difficulty in taxing those who have profited so well from their countrymen, they don't allow corporations (even international) to penalize or even discourage their citizens from forming or joining a union, most have media standards and insist on having both Factual and Pertinent information regarding their national economy and elected officials AND the general population spends a substantial portion of its leisure time educating themselves and having stimulating discussions (face to face) on local, national and international issues.
You know, they learned all this stuff from us (as in U.S.). Maybe we can learn a little from them and then tailor it to our culture, then build something brand new, and dazzle them all. It's what we do best!
