I could have used these when my girls were growing up.

I'll see these kids in Juvenile Court in a few years. There seems to be little appetite for "say what you mean and mean what you say", but the happiest and best-behaved kids are the ones who have rules and a ruler. The really sad cases are the ones who basically raised themselves and are socially irresponsible or even sociopathic. California already has prisons full of them!
But, you can tell a Californian, but you can't tell them much.
