deb2012 says: Election fraud is common in much of the world-why is Iran in this moment more important than other countries? Why the whipping up of outrage at this moment? The US has a long history or meddling in the election process of other nations. The world has a long history of suppressing democracy. The conservatives in the US were appalled that citizens of other nations were so vocal on the American election with their preference. Do you really think you understand the whole picture enough to be speaking in favor of the seemingly more progressive party in Iran, and that the US government should meddle in their election affairs? Stop meddling America-it makes us less safe. I commented on another clip that Americans are under question after the Bush election controversies. No great difference. Except Americans didn't march. I also find this American fascination with Iran's election results, quiet intriguing. I am not the least bit fascinated. The choice in candidates is a charade to begin with. I agree with willhelm. Not that I seek disagreement, but I would like to qualify my comment. I am not interested in the Iranian election or the result. I am interested in the reaction by the people of Iran against totalitarian rule. That does interest me and I am keeping my eyes on that part of the story. Some want to just bomb Iran, but in the long run social changes due to external prosperity and technology will make the concept moot. The people's will is another train that can't be easily stopped thanks to communication technology. This is how American ideals win best. (I was agreeing that both are sham candidates pre-approved by the real dictator or Iran) |
