So wouldn't that make Duluth (and maybe Laredo) holy cities? Would pilgrims have to walk between the places to prove their righteousness? Could we pagans even use the highway?

This is ridiculous! The movement goes much beyond this church:

I especially like how they claim this makes Dallas "special"!

"Everything we do, we want to make sure scripture is backing us up,"
said Austin's PromiseLand Church Pastor Charlie Lujan. "I-35 being
Isaiah 35, it just matched."
I take it that Charlie slept through most of his formative education only to wake up and find himself a holy man.

These folks never stop entertaining. The sad part is the number of people that take them seriously.

AUSTIN (AP) -- Traffic deaths in Austin increased 13.7 percent in 1997, and Interstate 35 -- with its congestion, high speeds and short entrance ramps -- again earned the reputation of a death trap. The interstate accounted for nearly a third of the city's traffic fatalities

The span of I-35 bridge that collapsed in Minneapolis

Appears to be holy to me.

Dallas doesn't need a holy highway to feel special about itself.

Woohoo! I live on a holy highway. I could hit cars going by with rocks from my back yard.

Some days it's just too freaking' embarrassing to say you are a Christian.

That's almost as ridiculous as when some state out west renamed a highway because its route number was 666, and people felt "spiritually endangered" driving on it.

You've God to be kidding! The sign is only meant to be a witness surely... Anybody with half-a-brain knows that the "Highway to Holiness" mentioned in the Bible is not a literal highway. Come on!
