As for the Burmese people themselves what the world’s wilful impotence in dealing with their brutal rulers indicates is that ultimately they will have to achieve democratic rule in Burma entirely on their own strength.

The people of the world will of course support them in whatever way they can but to expect governments around the globe to help topple the Burmese military regime is as unrealistic as asking the regime to step down on its own. There is no option but to keep the struggle going.

If only they had Oil

What a good point! Maybe one thing we could do as individuals is to boycott some of those products that come out of Burma. I've posted an article about "blood" rubies funding the military regime there. There are several gemstones and other products that people could boycott to avoid financing the oppression.

They have natural gas, but Invictus' clip shows that there's already US & French access to it, so no need for any action really. So in the meantime, it's on with the Iran attack plans as usual... 'Cause thats the priority.
