I guess the fact that we're in so many messes means that taxes haven't been cut enough, government hasn't been made small enough (the deregulation of the home loan industry being a rare success), the military hasn't been made big enough, and the markets are not free enough.

Think how rich we'll all be if more super-rich people have more money to stash, if more industries are de-linked from serving the public good, if more of our budget goes to the military (let's go for 60%, whaddya say?), and if government stopped pestering unfortunate victims of rampant liberalism like KBR...
