no, that wasn't her password. the guy went through the "forgot your password?" and succeeded(with the help of wikipedia) in gaining the rights to change the password to "popcorn". not a national security issue at all.

Mail for state business (Woah, when did republicans get concerned with privacy?). This is a problem because Palin’s use of a 3rd party account hinders political transparency. But that’s not what bothers me.</p> <P>What bothers me is that the person who is “one heartbeat away” from being in charge of my safety is using a seven character dictionary word as her password.</p> <P>Since this is a dictionary word, cracking the password took maybe ten minutes of real work and an hour of password cracking.
