The thing is that the news people are educated enough to know that Sarah Palin is a joke, but also an extremely clever political manuever by John McCain. It's not the MSM that's out of touch, it's the the average American citizen.

The REAL Napster
Also, 64% of unaffiliated voters now give positive reviews to McCain, up ten points since naming his running mate.
Saw this on the latest Gallup Polls and it sure pissing off the dems.

jmjoness: I agree it is the average government educated American that is out of touch. They are mesmerized by the mantra of change and hope. This election seems more like the American Idol selection process rather than the selection of the leader of the greatest country in the world. Over 200,000,000 people in this country and we end up having to select from Obama and McCain.

Ditto. POP for JMJ. But scary to think about just how true that is and what it could mean if the rest of the populace doesn't get on board.

The mainstream media are totally in touch. They are commercial operations whose survival depends totally on their tapping into the values and mindsets of their readers, listeners or viewers. They must reflect what people already believe and 'know'. At all costs.

Keep deluding yourself, abailart. They are elitists who feel it necessary to instruct, not inform without a liberal bias.

You get the media you 'deserve', in the same way that you get the politicians. Neither would succeed without consumers or voters.
