PNAC clearly stated that they needed a "Pearl Harbor-like incident" to further their agenda and 9/11 gave them that. Now they want another one, if for no other reason than to say, "We told you so". "it's almost as if he's wishing that this country would be attacked again, in order to make his point." That is a slanderous comment. Only if it were untrue. Considering how Cheney and the Gang exploited 9/11 and his statements since, I would not be surprised that he would again capitalized on any future events. Slander: Law. Oral communication of false statements injurious to a person's reputation. A false and malicious statement or report about someone. Nope, sorry, the stated opinion doesn't fall under that category. false statements injurious to a person's reputation.... I don't know; that sounds like slander to me. "..it's almost as if..." That an assumption he's making about a former VP with NO proof. Is no one allowed to criticize the policies of an Administration without such assumptions? I don't see how it is false. It is an opinion about someone's attitude. It is not being toted as fact. It would be slander if it was presented as fact. False? Hardly. And criticism? Wait who said that criticizing a President in a time of war was aiding and abetting the terrorist? |
